The Current was founded in January 2011 by a group of post-grads who couldn't live without their collegiate a cappella fix. Since then, we've grown to a close-knit group, 12 members strong. Our rep is as diverse as our day jobs, which range from advertising mavens to law students to nutritionists, but our sound always comes back to our never-ending love for pop music (and mashups...always mashups). We've performed sold-out shows to top NYC venues like the Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall, but our favorite places to sing are right in our backyard—you might stumble upon us busking in Washington Square Park or Times Square on any given New York evening.
