Butterboy with Jo, Aparna and Maeve
Butterboy with Jo, Aparna and Maeve
Three chuckle monsters descend on Littlefield every Monday at 8pm, clutching with them a horde of the freshest, silver-tongued comics and phone sex operators this city has to offer. Legends in their own right, these three friends, Aparna Nancherla, Maeve Higgins and Jo Firestone combine forces to host the funniest and best show in Gowanus! Accompanied by the musical stylings of DJ Donwill and the sensual silence of a rotating Idris Elba impersonator, you won't want to miss it. Plus, find out which parts of this blurb are bold, unapologetic lies!

Jo Firestone is a comedian whose work can be seen on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Chris Gethard Show, and heard on WFMU and Earwolf. She was recently named a New Face at the 2016 Just for Laughs Festival, and her Comedy Central half hour comes out this fall. If you like puns, check out her board game, Punderdome: A Card Game for Pun Lovers. If you don't like puns, don't worry about it. You can also see Jo doing stand-up in different basements around the city.

Aparna Nancherla is a comedian of the stand-up variety, but can often be seen sitting. Last year, she released her debut album, Just Putting It Out There, on Tig Notaro’s new label, Bentzen Ball Records and recorded a Comedy Central half hour special. This year, she was named one of “The 50 Funniest People Right Now” by Rolling Stone. Currently, you can catch her on the latest seasons of Bojack Horseman, Master of None and Love, all on Netflix, as well as on HBO's Crashing. She's also written for Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC) and Totally Biased (FX). Aparna will next appear on the upcoming Comedy Central show, Corporate.

Maeve Higgins is the host of the hit podcast Maeve In America: Immigration IRL. She has performed all over the world, including in her native Ireland, Edinburgh, Melbourne and, most recently, Erbil. Now based in New York, she's made a name for herself there too. In a good way! She co-hosts Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk on National Geographic and has appeared in Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer. Her work has been published in The New York Times and The Irish Times, and she is writing a book of essays for Penguin due for publication later this year.
Hari Kondabolu
Hari Kondabolu
Hari Kondabolu is a Brooklyn-based, Queens-raised comic who has been described by Timeout NY as “smart, analytical and rising.” He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and John Oliver’s New York Standup Show and the 2007 HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. His Comedy Central Presents half-hour television special debuted on the network in February 2011. He is currently a writer for FX’s Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, set to make its debut in August 2012. He will also be appearing on the third season of John Oliver’s New York Standup this summer. He made his UK television debut on BBC 3’s Russell Howard’s Good News in April 2011, which preceded a month-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He then had a regular segment on the first series of BBC3′s “Live at the Electric” starring Russell Kane. He has also appeared on Episode 69 (Live Portland Super Show) of WTF with Marc Maron. When in New York City, he co-hosts the mostly improvised, monthly talk show The Untitled Kondabolu Brothers Project with his younger brother Ashok (“Dap” from hip hop group Das Racist). He also wrote the cover story for Spin Magazine about Das Racist last November.
Geoffrey Asmus
Geoffrey Asmus
In 1997, Geoffrey hung an eight foot by six foot map of the world above his bed. The map still travels with him to remind him that everyone in Germany is blue and everyone in Cameroon is a weird shade of fuchsia. When South Sudan and East Timor gained their independence Geoffrey even drew in their borders to maintain accuracy. Anyways, Geoffrey is a proud member of the OFFICIAL Taylor Swift fan-club and just ordered a $20 Guns N' Roses t-shirt from HotTopic.com for a joke that bombed - that's the sort of dedication you can expect from Geoffrey's comedy.

Onstage Geoffrey talks about his adult bed-wetting and one first date where he went bird-watching. Most people say he’s got a cute butt and you should too! Others say he’s a little ‘quirky’ and should stop stroking their hair. No matter what though, all audiences agree, he should never show the birthmark on his butt again.

Geoffrey’s painfully self-aware humor has been heard at the Bridgetown, Boston, Limestone and 10,000 Laughs comedy festivals and notably the Woodbury, Minnesota Applebee's after three Bahama Mamas. In 2016 Geoffrey performed in the Just for Laughs 'New Faces' showcase in Montreal, Canada. Geoffrey won Comedy on State’s “Funniest Person in Madison 2015” and Penguins Comedy Club’s “Funniest Person in Iowa 2015” and was also a finalist for the 2014 and 2015 Cleveland Comedy Festival (alongside a Betamax player and Tito Jackson). He has opened for Todd Barry, Brian Posehn, Kyle Dunnigan, and Daniel Sloss.
