This February Littlefield in Gowanus, will open it’s doors to the next generation with their new music series The Hip Tot Music Festival. Live bands will be featured that cater to the young crowd along with an open market, craft activities with Private Picassos and giveaways of various kid related products from toys to Revolution Foods snaks.

The first event in the Hip Tot Music Festival series will be on Sunday, February 26th, featuring local hummus lovers Rolie Polie Guacamole and classic children’s performer Lou Gallo. This will be the official release of Rolie Polie Guacamole’s third CD “Houses of the Moly”. Audra Rox, "The Queen of the NY Kid Rock scene", according to Time Out Kids is on our roster for a show this fall. Also look out for upcoming show with the Itty Biddies and the Deedle Deedle Dees. And we are just getting started...

The Hip Tot Music Festival starts at 2pm on Sunday, February 26 at Littlefireld, in Gowanus, Brooklyn (622 DeGraw Street). Admission is just $8 for kids and $12 for adults ($35 for a family of 4). Children under 2 are free.

The Hip Tot Music Festival is the brain child of local parents Gabrielle Napolitano and Adam Milat-Meyer. Gabrielle owned a second hand children’s store called Still Hip for over 4 years. She organized numerous community events featuring live music. When the store finally closed many of the performers she worked with contacted her about helping them book gigs. Not knowing much about the music industry she turned to Adam V. Meyer, a long time musician and part time booking agent for advice. After a brief brain storm they came up with the idea of the music festival.

Frank Gallo and Andrew Tuzhilin created Rolie Polie Guacamole in late 2006.

2011 brought some amazing RPG concerts. Highlights include: The Bell House, Ft. Greene Park, JJ Byrne Park weekly series, Providence Children's Museum, Brookline Music School, The Discovery Museum, & The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The trio spent the second half of the year gigging and recording their first cover album.

2012 brings new elements to the band. Long time drummer Christian McCarthy left the band at the end of 2011. NYC drummer Peter Barr joined the band January 8th. Raccoony & Bird Belly, puppets developed for the RPG TV show by Morgan Street, will make their first public appearance Feb 26th at South Paw in Brooklyn, at the Houses Of The Moly cd release party. The music video for Red Light Green Light will be shown along with Miriam Rayevskys second RPG stop motion film for Swim Like The Dolphin.

Houses Of The Moly features: Frank, Andrew, and Christian.
