The Talent Show embraces spectacle, surprise, limited participation from willing audience members, zaniness, grandeur and commitment. Each show has a theme. Every show is surprising. Featuring hosts Elna Baker and Kevin Townley. Last Wednesday of every month. Doors open at 7; show starts at 8.
Eugene Mirman

Brooklyn resident (and Russian immigrant) Eugene Mirman is a really great guy and comedian. Eugene has appeared on television, which is still a relevant medium for another few years. Some examples include: his own half hour special on Comedy Central, appearances on Conan O’Brien, a recurring role on HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, Bob's Burgers, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Home Movies, Lucy, Daughter of the
Devil and the Adult Swim live action series Delocated.

Julie Klausner

Julie Klausner is a comedy writer/performer, podcaster, and author. Her podcast, How Was Your Week, was recently named one of the best 10 comedy podcasts of the moment by Rolling Stone and one of the best podcasts in GQ's Comedy Issue and in the New York Times. Her first book, I Don't Care About Your Band, was optioned by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company, Gary Sanchez Productions, in 2010. Julie's TV staff writing credits include Funny Or Die Presents: Billy On The Street, Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins, and The Big Gay Sketch Show. She's also written for Robert Smigel's "TV Funhouse" on SNL, and for comedy legend Joan Rivers on a few different occasions. Currently, she's finishing a YA Novel called Art Girls Are Easy for Little, Brown and writing a pilot based the novel Apocalipstick for NBC. She also recaps The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for NYMag.com, and will soon recap The Real Housewives of New York City as well.

Matt Oberg

Matt Oberg is an actor and writer currently living in Brooklyn. Matt is a member of Inverse Theater (“American Revolution”, “Midnight Brainwash Revival”, etc), and the PIT theatre’s improv team “Big Black Car”. He has worked several times with Clancy Productions both in New York and in the UK, including "Captain Overlord’s Folly or The Fool's Revenge", “Fat Boy”, “Goner”, “Americana Absurdum”,and most recently “The Event” (“Outstanding Solo Show” NYC Fringe). His television credits include “30 Rock”, “Relocated”, “Chapelle’s Show”, and Comedy Central’s upcoming “Ugly Americans”. He is represented by Paradigm (commercial) and Vincent Nastri of Bleecker St. Entertainment.
