Night Train with Wyatt Cenac

Comedian Wyatt Cenac (“The Daily Show,” “King of the Hill”) and Producer Marianne Ways (“Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen”), in conjunction with Littlefield, are proud to announce the weekly comedy showcase NIGHT TRAIN. Hosted by Brooklyn comedy favorite Wyatt Cenac, the show will feature comedy from the best local and international stand up comedians and will--at times--feature established and new musicians, local celebrities, and the occasional surprise only found in Gowanus.

Wyatt Cenac is a Brooklyn-based comedian and regular contributor and correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” He reported his first field story in 2008 about Barack Obama, who was a Democratic presidential hopeful at the time. Cenac grew up in Dallas, Texas and later moved to North Carolina, where he attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After graduation, Cenac moved to Los Angeles, where he spent three seasons as a writer on FOX's popular animated show, “King of the Hill.” In 2008, Cenac starred in the film, “Medicine For Melancholy,” which was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards. In 2011, Cenac recorded his first one-hour comedy special, "Wyatt Cenac: Comedy Person" for Comedy Central. Cenac is a staple of the New York comedy scene and can be found headlining in venues across the country.

Questlove

Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, also known as Questlove, is the drummer and co-founder of the band The Roots. In addition to helping create the neo-soul movement, Questlove is known for his work on such groundbreaking hip-hop albums as Things Fall Apart (1999) and Phrenology (2002). Since 2008, he has come to popular acclaim as part of the house band for the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon talk show. Please note that Questlove will be appearing to take part in a chat/interview segment with Wyatt Cenac. He will not be performing music or DJing.
Josh Gondelman

Josh Gondelman is a writer and comedian who incubated in Boston before moving to New York City. With years of experience as a preschool teacher and a pretty good guy, Josh charms audiences using his good-natured storytelling and cracks them up with his sharp, pointy wit. Josh’s comedy touches on topics from rainbows to gangsta rap and makes them all equally hilarious thanks to his terrific writing and performing. In 2010, Josh traveled to Atlanta for the inaugural Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, where he turned heads and captured first prize! Since then he has become an in-demand performer on a national scale. He has performed at the Rooftop Comedy Festival in Aspen, CO, and headlined at the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival in Asheville, NC. More recently he has appeared in the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival and SF Sketchfest. Josh’s grandmother was especially thrilled to see him on television on G4?s “Attack of the Show” and MavTV’s “Rooftop on the Road.” His first CD, “Everything’s The Best” was released in November of 2011 by Rooftop Comedy Productions.
Desiree Burch

Desiree Burch is a comedian, writer, actress and New York NeoFuturist, and host of the "Smut" Reading and Performance series. Her solo work has culminated in the full-length solo pieces "52 Man Pickup," "The Sit-Down Show," "Careless," and "Greatest Hits." Desiree's shows have been performed at Ars Nova, Joe's Pub, CenterStage NY, P.S. 122, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her stand-up comedy has been featured at Carolines on Broadway, Gotham Comedy Club, the NY Improv, New York Comedy Club, Boston Comedy Club, the Producer's Club, the Parkside Lounge, Mo' Pitkins, and New York International Fringe Festival, to name a few.
Matt Koff

Matt Koff is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer in New York City. nHe is the winner of Time Out NY's 2011 Joke of the Year. He has written for the Onion News Network and Michael Ian Black's WitStream. He co-wrote and co-voiced the webseries, 9 AM Meeting, which won "Best Animated Pilot" at the 2010 New York Television Festival. He has also written for The Newlywed Game on GSN, Onion SportsDome on Comedy Central, "Plot Summary" on Cinemax, and Cosmopolitan Magazine. He recently won an arm-wrestling match against his 8-year-old nephew.
Jena Friedman

Jena Friedman is a comedian, writer, actor and filmmaker living in New York. She is currently a writer for Late Show with David Letterman. She performs stand up comedy (and sometimes spoken word) around the world, including Glasgow, Berlin, Portland, and the depths of Brooklyn. She is the star and creator of web series Ted & Gracie, and frequently likes to entertain bartenders in the East Village.
