Frank McComb
Frank McComb
Soul singer and keyboard player who is most famous for singing “Another Day” from Branford Marsalis’ Buckshot LeFonque project. His voice is uncannily similar to that of Donny Hathaway; he has released a couple of records of his own that combine heart-felt soul singing and jazz-funk instrumental virtuosity.

His independent releases include A tribute to the Masters(2006) a pure instrumental album where Frank pays homage to those who he has worked with and those who have influenced him, artist like Chick Corea,Herbie Hancock,Patrice Rushen etc.

In addition to Tribute Frank released Straight from the Vault. This won Soultracks album of the year and rightly so. A must have album for all Frank Fans.

On his new album Retro Future, Brooklyn-based keyboardist, composer, and producer Jesse Fischer weaves together many different strands of futuristic sounds from the past to create a brand new sound that is ahead of its time yet incredibly cemented in the present. The ambitious project ties together jazz, electronic, soul, classical, hip-hop, psychedelia, and world music. Retro Future was released October 30, 2012, and peaked at #23 on the iTunes Jazz Charts and #38 on the Amazon Hot and New Charts in its first week.

Following up 2011's independent release, Homebrew (which featured turns from Gretchen Parlato, Stefon Harris, and Sean Jones), Retro Future marks Fischer's label debut with ObliqSound, and features his tight-knit working group Soul Cycle. Emerging vocalists Rachel Eckroth and Chris Turner are also featured on one song each. The album includes seven originals along with compelling new takes on The 5th Dimension's "Aquarius", Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland", and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide".

A triple-threat as a self-taught musician, engineer, and producer, Fischer has performed, engineered, or produced for Stevie Wonder, Freddie Jackson, Black Moon, N'Dambi, Laura Izibor, Ryan Shaw, Lakecia Benjamin, and Koko Jones. He recently engineered, produced, and performed on Laura Izibor's latest EP, The Brooklyn Sessions, Vol. 1, which is currently available on Atlantic Records.

"Jesse Fischer's new album Retro Future takes us back into the timeless sounds of jazz-funk and soul, while commanding elements of electro, hip-hop and African influences."

"Jesse Fischer is a phenomenon waiting to happen. The Jersey-bred, Brooklyn-based keyboardist composes sleek funk, a la Jeff Lorber, but possess a delicate touch like Chick Corea, all while leading his agile road band, Soul Cycle. His chops behind the keys are only surpassed by his prowess as a producer, arranger and engineer."
