Electric Literature presents: Masquerade of the Red Death
“There was much of the beautiful, much of the wanton, much of the bizarre, something of the terrible, and not a little of that which might have excited disgust.” —Edgar Allan Poe, “The Masque of the Red Death”

Death stalks us all, but inside a joyful literary party we must be safe…right?

Find out by joining us on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Littlefield in Gowanus, Brooklyn for Electric Literature’s third annual fundraiser, this year with an Edgar Allan Poe theme.

We’ve moved back to Brooklyn and are embracing life outside the city’s busiest borough. That means cheaper tickets, more dancing, better parties, and total immunity from the specter of death (we assume). Wear black or red, bring a mask or get one there, and celebrate literature in all of its forms.

Our #1 goal this year is to raise payment to writers, and every dollar raised by the Masquerade will go toward that cause. In other words, coming to this party makes you a patron of the arts and letters. And, of course, immortal. Probably.

Tickets on sale September 1
Early bird tickets are $35 before October 1.
After October 1, tickets are $50.

Proceeds support Electric Lit, Inc., and 501(c)3 non-profit, and your ticket purchase is tax-deductible minus the cost of goods and services.
