Join G.L.O.C. founder Glennis McCarthy as she welcomes KRISTEN JOHNSTON (3rd Rock From the Sun, "Guts"), JULIE KLAUSNER ("I Don't Care About Your Band"), KAMBRI CREWS ("Burn Down the Ground: A Memoir"). The event will celebrating a revamped website and new logo with a prolific evening of comedy, networking, mingling, a DJ'd dance party, drink specials, gift bags, a raffle and more. Kristen Johnston’s career includes theater, film and, of course, television. She won two Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series playing Sally Solomon on the iconic television series “3rd Rock from the Sun.” Now she leads a stellar cast (which includes Donald Faison and Wayne Knight) in TV Land’s brand-new hit comedy “The Exes” every Wednesday night. Other television shows include “ER,” “Ugly Betty,” and “Bored To Death,” not to mention her unforgettable portrayal of Lexi Featherstone, who falls to her death just because she wants to smoke at a party, on “Sex and the City.”

Johnston made her screen debut in the short film "The Debt," which won a number of awards at international film festivals including the 1993 Cannes Film Festival. She’s gone on to co-star in such films as “The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas,” “Strangers with Candy,” “Finding Bliss,” “Music & Lyrics,” and “Bride Wars,” as well as Amy Heckerling’s upcoming “Vamps.” This spring, she can be seen in “L!fe Happens” alongside Krysten Ritter and Kate Bosworth. Kristen teaches acting at NYU (the Atlantic Acting School) and with MCC’s youth outreach program. Her first book, “GUTS, the endless follies and tiny triumphs of a giant disaster” (Gallery books at Simon & Schuster), will hit bookstores on March 13th, 2012. She currently resides in New York City with her dog, Pinky.

Julie Klausner is a comedy writer/performer, podcaster, and author. Her podcast, How Was Your Week, was recently named one of the best 10 comedy podcasts of the moment by Rolling Stone and one of the best podcasts in GQ's Comedy Issue and in the New York Times. Her first book, I Don't Care About Your Band, was optioned by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company, Gary Sanchez Productions, in 2010. Julie's TV staff writing credits include Funny Or Die Presents: Billy On The Street, Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins, and The Big Gay Sketch Show. She's also written for Robert Smigel's "TV Funhouse" on SNL, and for comedy legend Joan Rivers on a few different occasions. Currently, she's finishing a YA Novel called Art Girls Are Easy for Little, Brown and writing a pilot based the novel Apocalipstick for NBC. She also recaps The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for NYMag.com, and will soon recap The Real Housewives of New York City as well.

Kambri Crews once lived with her deaf parents in a tin shed in Montgomery, Texas. She now runs her own PR and production company in New York City and is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir Burn Down the Ground (Random House). A renowned storyteller and public speaker, Kambri has performed on The Moth’s Mainstage, The 92Y, SXSW Comedy, Risk!, UCB Theatre, Gotham Comedy Club and given speeches at SXSW, DeafHope, and Montgomery Middle School many other venues and events.

Glennis McCarthy
Glennis McCarthy is the creator of TheGLOC.net, a website for and by women in comedy. She produces and hosts ‘G.L.O.C. Live’ monthly at Littlefield in Brooklyn as well as two annex shows in Manhattan. Her two-woman musical improv group, ‘I Eat Pandas’ toured the country, performed off-Broadway, was the winner of two ECNY Awards for “Best Improv Group” and a multiple Time Out NY Critics’ Pick. Glennis has written for Showtime.com and blogs for the Huffington Post. She has appeared in videos for College Humor, Babblegum, and Hungry Man. Glennis is an accomplished voice over artist.
