Kings County Cinema Society is proud to present Wild Zero, a 2000 Japanese "Jet rock'n'roll" zombie horror comedy cult classic directed by Tetsuro Takeuchi. It stars Japanese punk rockers Guitar Wolf who dress like 50's greasers, cruise in fire-spewing muscle cars and battle armies of zombies in the midst of a touching story of budding transexual love. Kings County Cinema Society is an informal group devoted to the unfettered, unbiased love of film and the moving image in the borough of Brooklyn, and occasionally beyond. They host free/DIY events on a weekly basis all over our favorite borough.
Worst Case Ontario, a New York City indie outfit, plays antagonistic sludge rock. Messy, noisy rock in the vein of Nada Surf, Spoon and I Am Kloot.
This Lower East Side rock trio deftly swings between styles and somehow manages to own each one. They're a cross between Fugazi and 'Thunder Road' era Bruce Springsteen. Ghost Ghost will be joined onstage by Brooklyn painter Charlie Kemmerer, who will complete a live painting within each set.
